Shoes, tights, shoe laces, leather, lacing, cord

I believe Ted Noten recognised the love/hate relationship women have with their high-heeled shoes in his work Fashionista. I too am interested in the complex ways in which these sculptural and often jewellery-like accessories influence so many of the ways women feel about themselves. Just how potent the effect of wearing these shoes can be is often buried in the sub-consious or hidden beneath layers of denial only to be revealed when the 'prop' is removed permanently.
